Acrylic Nail | Hairdresser Bites In To Tesco Sandwich And Chews A Unwashed Fake FINGERNAIL

A beautician was left feeling queasy when she tucked in to a sandwich from Tesco and bit down on a filthy fake fingernail.

Katie Sellers, 29 from Truro, Cornwall, was nipping a smoked salmon and thickk cream cheese sandwich from the sell hulk when something 'crunched' between her teeth.

Spitting out the astonishing object, she was repelled to uncover the unwashed acrylic fingernail that had been left inside the snack.

She said: 'I bit the dilemma off and felt something hard and a bit pointy in my mouth. It crunched between my teeth.

'I pulled it out and it was a fake nail. we felt physically sick. It wasn't a good nail - it was discoloured and dirty.

'I think that people make-up sandwiches had to be wearing gloves and we would not have think they were authorised to wear fake nails.

'It's a full acrylic nail. They do drop off finally and we can usually pretence it fell off when she was creation it.

'It was unquestionably in the thickk cream cheese since we looked at the sandwich before we ate it.

'I do not think we will ever purchase pre-packed sandwiches again.'

Ms Sellers had paid for the Tesco Finest sandwich for 2.40 from her local store on January 21.

But she usually detected the disgustingcontaminant the next day when she ate the sandwich whilst on break at a beauty practice march in Bristol.

Ms Sellers put the yellowed nail in a bag and posted it to Tesco but is still watchful for a response.

Tesco currently fixed they were questioning the incident.

A orator said: 'Ensuring the food is of the top high quality is exceedingly critical to us and we and the suppliers have strong systems in place to head off unfamiliar objects getting in to products.

'We will of march be conducting a in depth scrutiny in to this incident.'
