The 5th Annual "Support Our Troops" eventuality will be hold 10 am to 12 noon Sat. (July 21) in Glenolden Park, W. Knowles and S. Llanwellyn Ave., Glenolden. The eventuality is sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of Glenolden, Murray Stuart Post 566, Glenolden Borough Office, VFW Post 7213 in Norwood, VFW Post 928 in Folsom, and the American Troop Support Team.
Residents from all over Delaware County and over are invited to bring things for caring packages that will be full and delivered to American infantry overseas. Items indispensable include, but are not paltry to, socks, deodorants, palm sanitizers, mouth balms, insect repellents, razors, large feathery towels, string swabs, bandaids, coffee, prohibited chocolate mixes, tea bags, tuna, food cups (pudding, applesauce, jello), essay paper, envelopes, pens, thank-you notes, DVDs, CDs, palm lotions, phone cards (ATT Global is best), chlorination tablets for water, combs/brushes, eyedrops! , body and feet powders, suntan lotion, shampoo/conditioner, club soap, hoop skirt (boxers), without odour newborn wipes, spike clippers, mouthwash (trial size), toothpaste, toothbrushes, freezer storage sizes, baffle books, magazines, house games, electronic games, baseballs, golf balls, ball gloves, personification cards, paperback books, singular portion snacks (granola bars, route mix, nuts, chips) and cookies and sweets that won’t melt.
Cash and examine donations will moreover be welcomed to help pay for shipping the packages overseas. Checks should be done on credit to "The First Presbyterian Church of Glenolden."
During the gathering event, an Art, Poem and Letter Workshop will moreover take place, with creations being sent to the troops.
Free pretzels, hotdogs, drinks and more will be existing to the who help.
