CHIPLEY - Two teenagers have been convicted and condemned for armed robberies committed in Chipley in 2011.

Sentenced were Tatjana Mimic, 15, of Jacksonville, and Dustin Dickens, 17, of Bonifay. Mimic received a judgment on May 7 of 10 years in the Department of Corrections for armed robbery. Dickens received a judgment on June 21 of 3 years in the DOC for armed robbery, followed by 12 years of probation, according to a inform from the Chipley Police Department.

On June 8, 2011, Mimic entered Gorgeous Nails Salon located at 1611 Main Street in Chipley, where she constructed two firearms and demanded all the allowance from the register, according to the report.

Mimic fled along with other subjects in the car. Investigators with the Chipley Police Department worked with agents from the Leon County Sheriff’s Office and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and identified Mimic as being entangled ! in a few armed robberies, inclusive the Chipley housebreak and a housebreak in Leon County.

On Nov. 13, 2011, Dickens entered the BP HandiMart located at 1230 Main Street in Chipley, where he secluded his face and constructed a firearm and demanded the allowance from the record drawer. It is a tarnish that such young people have done such bad decisions so early in their lives that it will start them for many years to come."
