Nailed | Ching Propels Dynamo Past Union With Fine Kick

Soon after Brian Ching warranted a fine flog Saturday night against the Philadelphia Union, he was ready for Brad Davis to take the shot.

No Dynamo player is more precise in dead-ball situations than Davis, but nobody has scored more goals in authorization story than Ching.

So with the diversion on the line in the 83rd minute, Davis astounded many in the track by asking Ching to take the kick. Ching originally declined before accepting the chance and scoring the leader in a 2-1 victory.

"I was like, 'You're the a that routinely takes it. It's fine,'" Ching said. "He insisted, so we was like, 'OK, that's fine, I'll take it.' The great thing is it went in and we got the win."

Ching nailed it off the crossbar before a throng of 19,806 at BBVA Compass Stadium. The objective was his second of the period and, maybe more importantly, his initial at the stadium.

The Dynamo (6-5-5) sojo! urn undefeated (4-0-2) at their new venue, that non-stop May 12.

"As you know, it was Brian Ching's initial objective in the new stadium," trainer Dominic Kinnear said. "I was cheerful for him. It was a winning goal."

"It's special," Ching said. "I know the throng has been entertaining for me to obtain one. I'm grateful for that. They're at the back me, and I'm only cheerful the round went in and we got 3 points."
