Shanpreta Howard and Antowain Johnson say they will "travel to the finish of the world" for their kids.
But the Uptown couple are in difficulty right away since they allegedly do not always similar to to journey with their kids.
Howard, 34, and Johnson, 36, who live in an unit office building on North Winthrop, were any charged this week with offence endangerment, after allegedly leaving their young kids " ages 12 and 9 " alone for two days whilst they took off for Las Vegas.
While the parents were away " commencement Feb. 22 " the 12-year-old child told his lecturer about the Las Vegas trip. The lecturer then contacted police, who went to the unit and found the children.
An aunt then took control of the young kids until the parents returned, military said.
In mid-February postings on her Facebook page, Howard talks about seeking deliver to the Las Vegas trip: "I am unequivocally vehement about this trip. ... ready to go n suffer myself ...." and "Getting the final of my errands for Vegas 2morrow:) <at Fashion Nails Salon."
The couple moreover talked about their admire for their kids.
In a Mar 16 posting on Johnson's Facebook page: "It's official. I'm getting old. we right away have a teenager. Happy 13th birthday, my son .... mommy and dad admire u."
Howard and Johnson couldn't be reached for comment, but a nearby resident in the unit office building described them as great parents, and mentioned the kids were never in any danger.
"They are large sufficient kids to take caring of themselves," mentioned the neighbor, Erica Wilson, 38. "The safety is great here. They look after us."
